So lets get down to business... Week 26 saw the last pages fit into what is to become PL 2014 Volume #1!! They only just fit into the album, which is very much full to the brim with layouts and therefore full of wonderful moments, memories and stories!! Week 26 was created using the super lovely kit 'What We Learn' by Mye De Leon along with extra elements from some of her other kits: 'The Good Stuff: This Year', 'The Good Stuff: This Week', 'Enjoy Life Collaboration', 'Bits of Life', 'Brave', 'I Collect Memories: Unfold' and 'I Collect Memories: Unscripted'. I love how Mye's many collections work together in a layout - increasing the choices available while making achieving a sense of visual cohesion easy. On the subject of Mye's wonderful designs, she recently announced the closure of her personal store on her website and made many people very concerned that it signaled the end of her designing career. I am pleased to be able to advise that this is indeed not the case and that a new opportunity and home for her products is coming very soon - within days even... So if you are a fan, stay tuned for the exciting news and chapter in her design journey - I know I am excited!! You can even head over to her FB group and guess the location of her new store with the winner winning themselves a copy of her soon to be released 'I Collect Memories: October' collection.
Back to sharing my pages - here is the left hand side....
The learning theme is also brought out in some of my chosen images from my time at school during the week. I loved the pinned image of a design made by one of my students during some well-earned free time. I liked it for no other reason but that I liked it, and the student was very excited when I asked her if I could take a photo of it for my Project Life, after having explained the project to the class previously. The other image from school is that of the pages of hand drawn self-portraits completed by the students for inclusion in a farewell card for our Principal. I simply adore children's art and my favourite lessons to teach are art lessons. I love how their artworks reflect their personalities so perfectly that you can often pick out their work without seeing their names.
I have two favourites from this side... The first one is a surprise to me and I would never have thought I would call a selfie of me a favourite image. But I am embracing photos of myself more and more, and this is certainly due in part to my PL journey. This one also includes a crochet project that I completed this week for a friend of my mum's birthday. I have to admit that I was tempted to keep it myself but alas did the noble thing...
Until then....
