One of the perks of being on Mye's Creative Team is that I got to play with this kit a week early!! It was rather lovely trawling through all our summer holiday photos for the perfect photos to play with, especially when wintery winds were blowing outside.... When I found the perfect photos, the inspiration flowed and some gorgeous pages (even if I say so myself) came together for my daughter's album - an album that is very, very, very, very behind!! But I will get there!?!? Well one certainly hopes so.....
Here is the left hand page....
The colours of the kit worked perfectly against the gorgeous blue of the water and other colours such as Lilly's swim suit. I continued to use printed digital elements (especially word art) to embellish the page with the addition of some enamel dots, wood veneers and some hand stitching. I am actually a very hesitant user of enamels dots - don't get me wrong, I love them but get scared of not placing them perfectly. Nuts I know!!! But the perfectionist in me is rather hard to squash some days!?!?!? The hand stitching was done using a 'stitch guide ruler' from Close to My Heart (see here for more details) and it makes the task of hand stitching so simple with piercing holes as the perfect guide. I love the tactileness of the stitching.
The right hand side of the page continues with much of the same....
The layout as a whole....
Well that's it for now - until next time.....
