So as I sit down on my back deck overlooking my lovely gardens in the superb Blue Mountains, and am surrounded by all the things I love, I am struck to my core with how blessed I truly am!! To have the luxury of a peaceful day at home with my family, doing what I love - blogging, sharing my thoughts and my creative endeavours. My husband and daughter are doing what they love doing and a bit later, we are heading out for an afternoon tea picnic!! Does get any better than this.....
But that's enough musing from me.... Let's get on with sharing Week 12 of my Project Life journey which was very much about counting my blessings!! This week was brought to you by the ever amazing and talented Amy Tan of Amy Tangerine. The oranges and greens throughout the photos demanded that I use Amy's Plus One mini kit by Becky Higgins as well as the coordinating digital elements from American Crafts Digitals. All the embellishments were sized appropriately in Photoshop, and then cut out using the 'print and cut' function in Silhouette Studio using my Silhouette Cameo. As you know, I am in love with this machine and have not even scratched the surface of what it can do... But in terms of creating embellishments for my pages, it has certainly revolutionised the process....
So here is the left hand side.... For a change, it is not dominated by all things school related. Yes there is the awesome image of the children's hands for Harmony Day, which turned out to be one of the nicest days I have in my teaching career - everyone was more relaxed and focused upon 'harmony' themes of acceptance and tolerance, and the day ended with the whole school K-6 dancing in the hall to Just Dance clips on youtube... What did we ever do without youtube???? But life outside of school also features with the brightly coloured grocery haul for the week and my gorgeous ol' cat!! She takes such an awesome photo....
My other favourite image is the sharpened pencils!!! Who does not love a freshly sharpened cup of coloured pencils and the possibilities they offer???? Not to mention that it took me over an hour to sharpen them all....
I hope you come back for Weeks 13 & 14 as they are BIG!! They are the weeks when I had the privilege of meeting the one and only Becky Higgins in the flesh, and many other wonderful Project Life devotees. But for now I am going to sign off as my winter sun has turned to rain and its got rather chilly out, and our afternoon tea picnic has just turned into a movie afternoon with popcorn!!!
Until next time.....
