Week 29 was a strange week made up of simple everyday moments, a dream come true, new beginnings and opportunities as a teacher, and a devastating world event. In putting the week together, I decided to keep it simple again and kept it very minimal in terms of embellishments, just letting the photos and stories speak for themselves. In choosing simplicity and letting the photos dictate the colours, I could not go past the lovely collections of Gina Cabrera of Digital Design Essentials. I pulled elements from a number of collections: 'A Good Day', 'Word Bits XOXO', 'Stickers Happy', 'Creative Life', 'Arizona Autumn Journaling Cards', 'Par Avion Journaling Cards II' and 'Foxtastic Journaling Cards. It is lovely how so many different collections can work together. If you are interested, Gina is having a huge sale on her gorgeous kits that ends tonight - so don't delay, go and check them out here (just make sure that you come back if heading over there now....).
Here is the left hand side of the spread...
It was with hesitation and a little unease that I saw my husband off on a plane to Perth on Sunday for a week away from us. I know my unease was unfounded as the flight space over Australia is not a war zone but one always worries a little when kissing a loved one goodbye for a period of time. I could not believe how perfect the boarding pass journal card from the 'Par Avion Journaling Cards II' was for documenting this story.
My other favourite images from this page are the selfie taken at dinner with friends at one of our favourite restaurants, Hana, a Japanese restaurant in Leura (where I am going again this weekend for my birthday!!) and the close up of our firewood which kept me toasty and warm this week while at home.
Thanks again for returning so soon after my last post and for sticking with me on this blogging marathon. I can assure you that by the end of this week, all will return to normal programming and single weekly posts - so please stay with me....
Until next time....
